I lived in Bismarck for about 5 years and mastered the river a couple times, experienced the joys of the tailrace in Febuary, Audobon early ice, and the big waves of Sak.
However, I grew up an eastern in the NE corner, about 50 miles NE of DL and call DL fishing my home. Two years ago, I moved to Valley City for my job and enjoy the shorter trip north to shoot waterfowl and pull walleye out of DL.
I shoot a Beretta, run a Skeeter, jig a few Fenwicks, and drive a Ford. They all aren't the best, but none have done me wrong. Fishing and anything I can shoot with a shootgun are what I enjoy the most. I have a 30-6 semi-auto for deer hunting, because shells are cheat and I don't plan on shooting once each year. Enjoy filling a few 2c doe tags for jerky in the boat all summer, horns really aren't all that important to me.
I am a hunter, fisher, farmer, landowner, engineer, rancher, - the odd one pays the bills and the rest I enjoy.
