Snow Bullheadmaster is coming from fargo the weekend of the 20-21 in feb. I will have my kids wanna come up this way and educated us on the ponds in the area??

Very possible sota,do you have any gear? I sold my extra fl-18 last month and only use a two man trap for a house,unless its warm out it might be a challenge for the crew to keep warm.I move alot to stay on the fish and sometimes it takes a few hours and 50-100 holes to find'em stacked up.

Lets watch the weather and see what happens.

Dang, someday I gotta get out there.  I'd like to get on some crappies.  Have snowmobile, reinforced hitch on the ole Polar Sport, and gear ready to roll for mobile attacks.

Yeah,you should see the gills to,truely BULLs,we usually let the big'ens go 10-12"ers,although it would be nice to stick one 13" and up for the wall or make a replica.

J~ Is your 4 man a sled to carry your gear? We usually make run's to secluded area's not accessable by truck back in the boonies.

It can be pulled yes. Its the Eskimo 6x8. It isn't a sled based house though... How about I bring the two snowmobiles and call er good?

That weekend work for you two then? I will have my boys and they just want to try it hopefully the heat wave can hold. Or we can drive the truck out and have a place to get warm. Big J is going to go on a bwca trip with me this summer so we are going to go over some maps as well that weekend. Snow you have been up there right??

Yup,pretty much covered the entire BWCA over the years,by canoe from ely to saganaga back along the canadian border and "zig zag'd" and bush whacked almost every lake inbetween,even met Dorthy Molter a few times on her island on knife lake before she passed,she always had cold home made root beer for travelers,then later in life made trips into quetico from sag until the canadians tightened up remote access rules and imposed camping regulations on us NR's,plenty of good fishing to be had south of the border these days.

Snow you going to pencil that weekend in for a trip north a bit? Also were was that place with the good smoked fish I think you said two harbors. The BWCA is a great place that I am really excited to get back to this summer a couple times.

sota~ It will depend on the weather and also what weekend our "perch extravaganza" will fall on? its usually mid febuary on mille laces,we have a good hatch of jumbo's from 2006 that are on the feed this winter big time and like panfish perch get real active towards late winter.

You need to check out "Russ Kendals smoked fish"  just up the scenic hiway from duluth at the mouth of the knife river,nothin better for the queens game on sunday  than his smoked herring/brown sugar cured lake trout and a few cold ones,and of course they need to win.
