Kinda tough to see here but this is a antelope near Angus Mn or roughly 25 miles NE of East Grand Forks Mn. I stumbled across it while on my way to service combines this morning. I am 100 percent sure that it was a antelope and saw it several times today, it seemed very relaxed and never became spooked while I was watching it. The photo was taken from about 250-300 yards away through an old crappy pair of binoculars we had laying around the shop. I first saw it run across the road into this cut wheat field, the closest I got to it was about 80 yards away. It hung around the field the better part of the day before wondering off. I can only imagine where it has been and where it'll end up. I've never heard of anyone seeing them anywhere close to the Red River valley let alone on the Minnesota side. Really wish I would've had a good spotting scope and camera. Anyone have any idea of why or how it got here?

Was Colonel Angus chasing it with his boat?

I'm thinking its just a stray that moved very far east. Very unusual for sure.

About 10-15yrs ago a mule deer was shot along the red river. Bucksnbears might know more about it. Actually it was probably 15-20yrs ago now that I think of it

There were a couple lopes south of Casselton a couple years ago. Was a mule deer buck NW of Fargo a couple years ago too. Not unheard of but certainly not a very common sight.

Heard from a reliable source of mule deer on a trail cam in far NE ND last season.  Also mule deer shot in far NW MN, just a few miles east of the Red River, kind of interesting.

I saw a smaller mule deer buck SW of Adams, ND about 12 years ago.  I even made the guy that pulled up behind me stop and confirm it.

My dad saw one west of the Grand Forks airports 15-20 years ago. I thought he was nuts until the Grand Forks Herald confirmed the sighting.

I think there was a goat by Crookston not too long ago this year. Possibly could be the same one.

There was one just SW of Grand Forks about five or six years ago. Saw him once and never again.

Maybe his compass is broken?  Normally they move between ND and either SD or MT.

I seen a cow moose inside the gates of the grand forks air base about a month ago, SW end of air strip along hwy #2. I wonder if she fell out of a plane?  honestely though, she was probably a year old cow on her own.

Or just maybe, he was kicked out of the herd because he had a Bradley, err Chelsea Manning complex.
