I guess the thing that brings this topic to the forefront is all the pickups in this town running around with male genitalia hanging from the rear end of the undercarriage on those vehicles.

I fired up the old Honda Accord the other day and I get an idiot light on the dashboard glaring at me.    It puzzles me to know what those four letters mean but being the know it all male that I am,  I don't bother looking in the owners manual.  With a cell phone and the local car dealer in my address book, I'll just ring the service counter.

I ask for the service counter.   I give him a heads up on the four letters glaring at me on the dashboard and he states my car is then indeed a female.   Who cares about that I said.    I chatted with him for a bit more and was wondering why, after 30,000 miles does the car want to let me in on this little secret.    He states that I obviously know what those four letters mean and I obviously did something in the recent past to initiate THAT  idiot light coming on.

OK I said,  I did in fact do something recently that I knew would shoot an idiot light on in the cluster of dashboard lights, but I didn't expect the four letters tpms.   I'm not sure what the t stands for but every male in the world knows what pms stands for.   So this car is in fact a female.   If I'd have only known when I bought it.....

Does anyone know where I can obtain that little trinket to dangle under my Honda's undercarriage to show she is a female????

Tire pressure monitoring system...check the air in your tires....speaking from experience! A sensor could be bad or pressure might be low!

We swapped out the summer tires (and rims) for winter tires and new rims without tire pressure monitors.  SO this idiot light will remain on until i put the old rims back on next spring.   just thought it would be a good read.

tire pressure monitors for the new rims at their price; NAW!!  lived without them for my first 40 years of driving, don't need them now.  Will monitor tire pressure about once a month throughout the winter with these other rims.

You could just put two of the old tires and rims in the trunk and two in the backseat so they are close enough to your female car at all times to get rid of the idiot light.

Just a thought.

Just put a chunk of black tape over the light. Works like a charm.

Strap a tampoon on the back bumper, or put a bra on the front, maybe both

I thought it was funny rist.

"The time at which I stand before you is full of interest. The eyes of all nations are fixed on our Republic. The event of the existing crisis will be decisive in the opinion of mankind of the practicability of our federal system of government. Great is the stake placed in our hands; great is the responsibility which must rest upon the people of the United States. Let us realize the importance of the attitude in which we stand before the world. Let us exercise forbearance and firmness.
