Lake Sakakawea - Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Report Details
I attempted to darkhouse spear the middle southside of sak on 2/2/10.  Snow was a solid 18"+ and hard.  Ice in spots was thicker than my auger was long(no extension with).  To add insult to injury, after I finally got set up in 10' of water, I realized there was approximately 12"-18" of slush under the ice.  I have never seen this before.  Effort factor extremely high and results low. I have a new found appreciation for open winters.
