How to Give Business Owners access to update / edit their business profile Page

Many times, you may wish to give business owners editing capabilities for their business directly listing page.

Not only can they make changes to their basic details (address, phone, etc.) - they have a full-on text editor that will allow them to design their page, upload photos, add links, etc.

To set this up, make sure that the person already has an account.

The following must be setup.
1.  The User Account MUST have the "business" permission set on their account .  To set this permission, go to Users -> Manage Users -> Find their account, edit it, click on the Permissions Tab.  And check the "business" permission for the site they will use.  (while you are in there, copy and paste their screen name, you'll need it later.)

2. Link their Business Listing to their account.  In the admin tools Content -> Businesses -> Click on the Business -> Scroll to Sites and Users -> Click on Change Owner

Type in their screen name and submit.


Once you have given their account the business permission and have changed their business listing owner to their account, they will then be able to edit their listing.

A user can edit their business directory listing at any time by going to the Member Center, clicking on the Posts, Articles and Content tab, then clicking on My Business
