A couple buddies and myself fished the tailrace today. Got on the water around 9 and fished until 4:30. It was more of an exploration than a fishing trip since I haven't been on the tailrace for 20 plus years. Still a little nerve wracking heading downstream when the water is low. Ended up with an 18" rainbow trout. Missed numerous walleye bites though. I could definately tell i hadn't fished jigs/minnows since the spring. Saw a few other fish caught but nothing to write home about.
