Creating an archived list within a page

Hi Eric,

Can you take a look at our new Feature of the Week page?

What we want to accomplish is to have a weekly featured animal/plant/bird/fish/equipment, etc. etc. item and then have an archived list of the past features.  How should I set this up so each week the new feature is listed but the past features are on a list below in the form of links to the other pages?  The other option is to create a sub page with the archived list.  I want to avoid having each feature being listed as sub pages because the list will get pretty long.  Instead I'd rather point them to one page where we can categorize it to help our viewers find what they want.

If this doesn't make sense let me know and I'll give you a call.

Thanks!
Joan

Hey Joan - I am thinking about this.....

The best way is probably going to be posting each feature of the week as a new article, and using the Feature of the Week Page to display the article list....

Let me think on this a bit

Sounds good - I'd like to post the next feature on Friday so if you want to try what you suggested above that works or if you have any other ideas I'm open to hearing them.

Thanks Eric~

Hi Joan - Here is what I did:

1.  Created a new "Special Series" (Content -> Special Series)
2.  Named the special series "Outdoors For Her - Feature of the Week"
3.  Created the first article (copied content from your page, added a photo of a walleye)
4.  Clicked on "Move / Change Categories", and selected "Yes - Assign this Item to a Special Series"
5.  Changed the Feature of the Week Link to point to: /outdoors_for_her_feature_of_the_week

Not sure if this all makes sense, but basically, the special series is a group that you can assign articles to in order to group them up together -

Does this work? -

You can edit the text on the main page of the special series by clicking the "Edit This Series" link
