Tourney is sat. the 25th. The missouri is a dark chocolate , water  was 38 -40 degrees and weather is to be miserable.  I would say the winning team will have 4 fish for 5.5lbs. Any other guesses?

It will be tough.   I'd say you are in the right range in your prediction.    5 fish 5.75lb

water was between 48 and 51 degrees. I think who wins this is the team that brings some c4.

4 fish might be optimistic, though there might be 4 fish in there who know braile to find your baits.
Overflew the river again yesterday and it's so brown and muddy I swore I could almost land on it! LOL

In all seriousness, I'm always impressed (and envious) that someone is able to connect the dots and find fish in any conditions.

I believe it's going to be somewhere in the 16-17 lbs range to win.  The water becomes a bit cleaner each day.  By the weekend, someone will have a few spots figured out.  The problem with guessing in conditions like this is everything is so succeptable.  It wouldn't shock me if someone or even a few teams caught one fish in the 12 lbs range which could really sway any predicitions.  Realistically if the conditions were right the totals could have been well into the 30+ lbs range to win this year, the quality of fish in the system would definitely support a huge weight.

Now they are predicting rain and snow for the tournament!   May the best, and toughest, team win!

I don't know the rules of how many fish they can keep, but based on the size of fish we were seeing last year I would bet the fish that are caught will average 16 to 22 inches...but not many chances to be selective in what you keep. The winners will have a lucky pig so I'm guessing a minimum of 12 pounds total.

I'll be happy if we finish with more than just a smiley face.

The only thing I'm sure of is that I'm damn glad I'm not fishing this tournament this weekend! Fishing has been lousy at best. Water clarity is crap. Water temp is crap. Weather is supposed to be crap...sounds like the makings of a great tourney.

My only prediction is that I'll be somewhere warm and dry working on my limit of 12 ouncers.

Sounds just like the Casino Cup out of New Town (dark chocolate, tough fishing...no current though).  What's the problem folks?  Heh, heh...

I think it will be a neat tourney from a spectators standpoint.  That is, if you aren't like the bass fishing tourney spectators where they want limits upon limits of big fish.
